Boycott Best Buy for Supporting Extremist Anti-US Anti-Israel CAIR .Best Buy is Supporting Anti-US Anti-Israel CAIR:
Best Buy is giving your hard-earned wages to CAIR, an extremist anti-US anti-Israel organization. CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial accused of funneling funds to the Hamas terrorist group. The US has also identified CAIR as an agent of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood with a goal of imposing Islamic Law in the US by means of "stealth jihad" on the way to achieving a "global Islamic State". Earlier this year CAIR announced that Best Buy was a Platinum Sponsor of its annual banquet in Minnesota (see facebook posting below) and according to the website Islamist Watch, Best Buy has refused to rule out further funding of CAIR. Best Buy has not responded to JtB's letter expressing outrage over its support of CAIR. Please do not shop at Best Buy until it commits to stop supporting CAIR and please write to them at communityrelations@bestbuy.com to express your outrage and CC us at jointheboycott@inbox.com. Thank you. 12/3/12

Using Journalism as a Cover to Target Israel at the NY Times:

The hypocrisy of the NY Times is galling. David Carr ("Using War as a Cover to Target Journalists", B1, B5, 11/26/12), accuses Israel of deliberately targeting journalists in Gaza. Carr implies that 7 million Israeli civilians (for whom he shows no concern) should continue to risk their lives and huddle in bomb shelters while a few so-called journalists go about their busy work generating PLO propaganda in comfort.
Carr admits that Israel warned journalists to stay away from the terrorists. He also admits that journalists know the risks of entering a war zone. He also concedes that the buildings Israel hit "might have included legitimate targets". He even admits that the US targeted Iraqi media in Baghdad. Carr did omit to mention that in the Kosovo War the US and Britain levelled the Serbian State TV (RTS) building in the middle of Belgrade as part of an intensive 2½ month bombing campaign in March-June, 1999. And that the ICTY found no need to investigate the bombing (par. 71-79). Carr gives no basis for questioning the IDF assertion it was targeting terrorist operations, or his position that even if they were, it's wrong for Israel to do so, even though it was right for the US and Britain do so.
What Carr does not tell us is what real journalists should be telling the world. That the PLO terrorists were firing rockets indiscriminately at Israel's civilians and were using their own population, including journalists, as human shields, both of which are war crimes.
Carr shows us here how anti-Israel he is and what he is using his journalism as a cover for... targeting Israel. Subscribers, please call 1-800-698-4637 and cancel your extremist anti-Israel NY Times and please let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. LA Times Anti-Israel Bias is Malicious:

On Thursday November 22, the LA Times acknowledged through reporter Edmund Sanders that "even after the cease-fire went into effect about half a dozen rockets were fired into Israel".
On Saturday November 24, just two days later, after an attempted PLO infiltration at the Gaza border caused Israel to shoot, the LA Times through the same Edmund Sanders contradicted its own earlier report stating "the [Israeli] shootings marked the first episode of violence since the cease-fire went into effect".
When the same reporter lies about the facts he reported 2 days earlier and portrays Israel as the aggressor and first breaker of the cease-fire, when it was clearly the PLO terrorists who were the aggressors and first breakers of the cease-fire, the bias is malicious.
Also, 3 days after Operation Pillar of Defense ended, the LA Times finally mentioned the name of a Jewish victim, that of Lieutenant Boris Yarmolnik, Z"L, but gave no details like they do for PLO victims. During the entire Pillar of Defense Operation the LA Times did not mention the name of a single Jewish victim killed or injured, but did give us copious detailed coverage of PLO victims (see "Dehumanizing Jewish Victims" below). They also counted PLO injured on a near daily basis but did not count Israel's 300 or so injured. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your anti-semitic anti-Israel LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. BBC Middle East Chief Sharpens His PLO Propaganda Skills:

Paul Danahar, the BBC's Middle East Bureau Chief, spends a good deal of his time in Gaza brushing up on his PLO propaganda skills. Among a number of hostile anti-Israel tweets, he criticized Israel's tagetting of media buildings the PLO terrorists were using to communicate (see below). JtB reminded Danahar of the US and Britain's far greater pulverizing of Yugoslavian communications during an intensive 2½ month bombing campaign in the Kosovo War in March-June, 1999. In one sortie NATO bombers levelled the Serbian State TV (RTS) building in the city of Belgrade (par. 71-79). Danahar has not responded. The BBC has been widely criticized and condemned for its shoddy standards and blatant anti-Israel bias. 11/25/12

Dehumanizing Jewish Victims at the LA Times:

A big new wave of LA Times anti-Israel propaganda is hitting the Southland. In all the voluminous coverage of the recent escalation of the Gaza conflict, the LA Times has not published the name of a single Jewish victim. Pregnant Mira Scharf, 25, Z"L, was killed by a PLO terrorist rocket fired from Gaza last Thursday (11/15/12), and her 1 year old son and husband were injured. No mention by name in the LA Times. No mention either for Aharon Smadja, 49, or Itzik Amsalem, 27, Z"L, killed by the same rocket. In contrast, the LA Times is daily reporting expansively on PLO victims, their names, often inflammatory details of their injuries, comments from friends, relatives, others, poignant vignettes; they made sure to note that an aunt of a named victim who was also allegedly killed was pregnant, but Mira's pregnancy was not significant enough to mention until nearly a week later as part of an outrageous claim that Israel "contributed" to the fatalities. Israel's fatalities were reduced to solitary references to '3 Israelis killed' which is now sadly 5 killed. The LA Times is keeping a daily count of PLO victims injured but are not counting the hundreds of Israelis injured (up to 252 yesterday and 28 more in a terror attack in Tel Aviv today). The LA Times appears to be following a calculated and racist policy of not naming Jewish victims in order to deny Israel sympathy and manipulate public opinion against it. (below Mira Scharf Z"L and her son and husband)

Mira Scharf 25 Z"L, pregnant, killed by a PLO terrorist rocket fired from Gaza, and her 1 year old son and husband who were injured in the explosion on 11/15/12

This calculated policy of dehumanizing Jewish victims, reminiscent of Nazi propaganda, has worked over and over in the past to restrain Israel's actions and thereby aid the PLO. So why not stick with a winning formula? It is primarily up to Israel to steel itself against media hostility and exercise common sense to expel journalists actively aiding the PLO, or deny them access, or both, if necessary. We can help them by exposing and publicizing the anti-Israel bias and racism underlying LA Times coverage and ensuring that not only we, but all our fellow friends of Israel, condemn and boycott the LA Times, the paper, their website, and any other public or online manifestations thereof. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your anti-semitic extremist anti-Israel LA Times and please let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. 11/22/12

Support for Israel is Strong:

Street level support for Israel is strong in the midst of the latest Gaza conflict. This despite an increasingly hostile anti-Israel media which takes the word of PLO terrorists over the word of honourable men, and actively works to promote the PLO cause. There is no more important a time than now to take a stand for Israel and cancel your anti-Israel NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, Time Magazine, etc. If your paper is anti-Israel do the right thing and cancel it and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. (below around 3,000 turned out at short notice to show support for Israel in Westwood Sunday, 11/18/12, in a rally organized by StandWithUs) 11/20/12

As usual, the mainstream media are under-reporting the dozens of Israeli casualties (see below) and prominently featuring and reporting as fact what the PLO terrorists tell them about their casualties. Sunday night CBS News failed to even address the subject of Israeli casualties after showing a number of graphic shots of alleged PLO victims. In any event, since the PLO terrorists are committing war crimes by targeting Israeli civilians and using their own population as human shields, they are responsible for all the tragic casualties that result from Israel's exercise of its right to defend itself.

The Media's Boy Wins it Again:

No surprise here. Obama was re-elected with a comfortable margin in a race in which Romney never had a prayer. The media made sure of that. While gleefully exposing Romney's privately expressed and now infamous "47%" remark, the media, with the Los Angeles Times as its leader, contrived to hide Obama's verbal indiscretions by continuing to refuse to release the strategically acquired Khalidi anti-Israel tape and ignoring the issue (see below). This blatant media manipulation is a feature of modern electoral times, and until an anti-media candidate stands up to it, the media will continue to usurp democracy and control the process. Meantime Israel is stuck with another four years of an anti-Israel President who counts PLO and other Islamic radicals among his friends, and is unlikely to treat them any kinder than he did in his first term, and very possibly worse. 11/9/12

The Quadrennial Poor Choice:

Fact is Friends of Israel can only expect so much support for Israel from any US Administration. At the end of the day US interests come first and most American voters don't regard relations with Israel as a high priority issue in a US election. Witness the recent third debate on foreign policy in which Romney passed on a golden opportunity to roast Obama over his appalling coldness toward Israel and Netanyahu, and his ties to anti-Israel radicals. Romney's comments were a notable step back from his effusive statements of friendship during and after his visit to Israel back in July. Obama, on the other hand was able to interpose some self-serving statements of his supposed commitment to Israel without answering the question as to why he did not visit Israel but did visit several Arab countries in his 4 years in office. And the corrupt LA Times continues to conceal the tape it procured of Obama attending PLO radical Khalidi's tribute dinner (see next feature below). It's a tough choice, as usual. But you can always abstain (video below of full third debate - discussion of Israel begins at 41:50). 10/28/12

The LA Times Has Obama's Anti-Israel Back:

In 2008 the LA Times manipulated the US Election by buying the tape of Obama speaking at a tribute dinner to radical anti-Israel PLO insider Rashid Khalidi, and then refusing to release the tape to the public. Now the LA Times has taken to insulting our intelligence in attempting to defend its indefensible scheming in the service of Obama, even claiming we should be grateful to them! Friends of Israel are rightly outraged by such LA Times corruption. Meanwhile Obama reaffirmed his credentials as America's most anti-Israel President ever in a long CBS 60 Minutes interview (video below). He sees no special relationship with Israel but downgrades Israel as only "one of our closest allies". To the LA Times and the rest of mainstream media, Obama's second term was a foregone conclusion even before the 2008 Election. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your abominable extremist anti-Israel anti-semitic LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. 9/27/12

Nonstop Character Assassination of Israel from the LA Times:

The LA Times building in downtown Los Angeles Edmund Sanders, like all his predecessors of a generation at the anti-Israel LA Times, spends his time scouring Israel for negative stories. see In Jerusalem's And on the home front, the LA Times portrays aggressive Moslem UC students, who have been harassing and intimidating Jewish students for several years, as the victims. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your extremist anti-Israel LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll. 9/24/12

Obama Proving to be an Unreliable Ally of Israel:

As predicted by many in the Friends of Israel community, Obama is proving to be an unreliable ally of Israel. His Moslen sympathies and his covered up associations with radical elements of the PLO are more accurate indicators of where Obama wants to lead the US. Iran is steadily building its capability towards making a nuclear bomb, while Obama and his administration spend their time conjuring up clever sound bytes with tortured logic to put a positive spin on a White House that neither has the stomach for, nor a clue how to go about, preventing Iran from doing so. 9/13/12

The [Loudly] Anti-Semitic LA Times:

Promoting the worst anti-semitic stereotypes, a front page LA Times article on the influence of money in the Republican Party prominently features Jewish donors and, for emphasis, adds a photo of two men wearing Kippot (see below, 8/30/12, pp. 1, 8). As to the many individuals who give the vast majority of funds to the GOP and are not Jewish, the LA Times declines to identify their religi0n. Blatant anti-semitism is characteristic, and underlies much, of the virulently anti-Israel coverage in the LA Times. If you're still buying this newspaper you are part of the problem. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your extremist anti-Israel anti-semitic LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll 8/31/12

UN's Ban Ki-Moon Damages International Efforts to Isolate Iran:

Israel has condemned Ban Ki-Moon's decision to attend the Non Aligned Movement Conference (NAM) in Teheran, a decision which seriously damages long term international efforts to isolate Iran in an attempt to pressure it to halt its nuclear program. It is yet another example of the blatant anti-Israel bias and insensitivity of the UN which is simply ignoring Iran's years of threats and racist insults against Israel. Please contact the UN here to protest Ban's contemptible decision. Thank you. 8/23/12

"Gaffe"-Centric LA Times: Romney's Israel Support is "Pandering":

The virulently anti-Israel LA Times thinks Romney calling Jerusalem Israel's capital and saying he would respect Israel's decision to strike Iran are "pandering". In an Editorial entitled "Pandering on the World Stage" the paper criticizes "gaffe"-centric coverage of Romney's trip and then goes on to lay out more "gaffe"-centric coverage. Any expression of support for Israel is a "gaffe" in the corrupt view of the anti-Israel LA Times. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 and cancel your extremist anti-Israel LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll 8/3/12

Outrage Over IOC Refusal to Honor Israel's 11 Murdered Athletes:

The IOC continues to stymie efforts to honor Israel's 11 athletes murdered by PLO terrorists at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Despite a 40 year long campaign, international pressure from Israel, the US, Germany, and Canada, and over 100,000 signatures on a petition requesting "Just One Minute" of silence for the athletes at the Opening Ceremony, the IOC has yet again disregarded its own Olympics ethos and bowed to PLO and Arab State pressure not to include the tribute. Meanwhile LA Community leaders and the UK Community honor the 11 athletes. Kudos to NBC's Bob Costas who kept a promise to call out the IOC over this issue during coverage of the Opening Ceremony (see video above). 8/3/12

Breitbart News Offers $50K for Obama Speech the LA Times Hid:
Many of you will remember the outrageous manipulations of the LA Times in buying and then refusing to publish a video of Obama's speech honoring PLO radical Rashid Khalidi at a 2003 Chicago dinner. The LA Times moves occured just days before the 2008 Election and were a blatant attempt to influence the outcome in Obama's favour. The Jerusalem Post reports that Breitbart News has offered a $50k reward for anyone who can produce a video of Obama's speech that night. The Post article is a good recap of LA Times manipulations. It is long known that Obama has friends among PLO radicals and that they have his ear on matters affecting Israel. Meanwhile the virulently anti-Israel LA Times says Romney calling Jerusalem Israel's capital and respecting Israel's right to strike Iran is "pandering" and subcontrating US foreign policy. 8/2/12

London Security Woes! Olympics Face Multiple Concerns:

From mounting security concerns, to a cold indifference to Israel's 11 murdered Olympic athletes, to threatened industrial action, London's Olympics organizers face an array of issues threatening the success of the games. A Muslim youth shouting "Allahu Akbar" tried to grab the torch from a startled bearer live on BBC (video below). Meanwhile a brave campaign to hold a minute of silence for 11 Israeli athletes murdered by PLO terrorists in Munich in 1972 falls on deaf ears. Please click here to sign the petition. And UK border security workers threaten to strike. However, historically Olympics venues have been plagued with last minute crises that have preceded successful and entertaining games and London 2012 expects the same. 7/23/12

Church Anti-Israel Votes Strain Jewish-Christian Relations:

The recent barely defeated Presbyterian vote on an Israel boycott and the Church of England vote to adopt the EAPPI, an extremist anti-Israel group, have done serious damage to Jewish-Christian relations. The Church of England blamed the Jewish people for their vote revealing longstanding anti-semitic attitudes. 7/16/12

South Africa Becoming A Center of Anti-Jewish Racism:

South Africa is becoming an international center of anti-semitism with its latest move to boycott Israeli "settlement" goods. Under the guidance of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the country had become an advocate of racist anti-Israel extremism. Israel has reacted angrily to the latest South African move calling it "harsh discrimination which singles out Israel". We agree. JtB calls on Friends of Israel to boycott all goods from South Africa until it cancels or retracts its planned boycott. 7/4/12

State AG Refuses to Outlaw CSUN-Hosted Boycott Israel Site:

It should not be this hard to get the University of California to obey its own laws! But State Attorney General Kamala Harris, has now added her resistance to the process of removing extremist anti-Israel Prof Klein's Boycott Israel website from CSUN computers. Without stating any grounds for doing so, Harris has refused to impose California Law outlawing the use of CSU resources for "propaganda" and "boycott" purposes, stating only that it does not violate State law. AMCHA's brave fight to have Klein's website removed is being frustrated at every juncture by a very stubborn State beuraucracy. JtB continues to urge all donors to CSU to withhold donations until CSU takes its obligation to protect Jewish students seriously. Please write to the State AG's office to request an explanation - see example. 6/14/12

Ugly Anti-Israel LA Times Op-Ed Rewrites History of 6-Day War:

Surrounded by hostile Arab armies massed on its borders seeking to destroy it, and shortly after Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shiping in an open act of war, Israel won a miraculous 6-day victory over Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, June 5-10, 1967, in a war for its very survival. But in an ugly LA Times anti-Israel Op-Ed "6 Days, 45 years Later" (6/6/12, p. 15) and again 3 days later in "POSTCRIPT: Whose War Was It?" (6/9/12, p. 15) by self-defeatist Israeli Miko Peled, an utterly distorted view of the War is presented, making the nonsense assertion that Israel was not under existential threat but an aggressor, a conniving opportunist, and a persecutor of "Palestinians". This is the writing of a man seeking the approval of his anti-Israel peers, and another of many examples of the LA Times giving voice to the most radical fringe Israeli self-critics. Don't let the LA Times get away with their blatant misrepresentations. Ford Foundation Seeks to Raise Voice of Anti-Israel LA Times:

The Ford Foundation, which has a long history of funding extremist anti-Israel groups, has made an unprecedented $1 million gift to the LA Times, a public for profit company. Ostensibly the grant is to further coverage of important international issues, but Friends of Israel see in it a blatant attempt to raise the anti-Israel voice of the LA Times whose influence has waned recently due to severe financial constraints and declining circulation. Outrage Over Bob Simon's 60 Minutes Anti-Israel Propaganda:

There is increasing and widespread outrage over Bob Simon's "Christians in the Holy Land" report, a blatantly anti-Israel piece of propaganda, which portrays Israel as responsible for the alleged exodus of Christians from Israel. The subject gave Simon license to present a one-sided PLO criticism of Israel blaming the security barrier and other necessary Israeli defense measures for the allegedly declining Christian Community, and absolving Muslims of any responsibility. Friends of Israel have challenged both Simon's factual claims and his blatant bias. CBS is ignoring calls to air all of Ambassador Oren's counter-criticism of CBS which Simon cut to suit his anti-Israel purposes (video below is just a part of Oren's comments Simon omitted from his 60 Minutes broadcast). Please go to CBS feedback page and condemn CBS for their outrageous incitement of anti-Israel and anti-semitic fervor. 4/27/12

LA Times at its Most Biased When it Comes to Israeli Sensibilities:

The German Jewish Community is supporting Israel's ban on German poet Gunter Grass for his acerbically anti-Israel poem lambasting Israel's position on Iran's nuclear program. In "Israeli Poetry Critics", the LA Times naturally takes a position supporting the poet (Editorial, 4/10/12, page 10) proving yet again that this anti-semitic paper is reflexively anti-Israel and has no qualms in stomping upon the most delicate Israeli sensibilities. Subscribers, please call 1-800-252-9141 to cancel your extremist anti-Israel LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll 4/15/12

NY Times Publishes Op-Ed By Anti-"Settlements" Self-Defeatist:

The NY Times published an Op-ed entitled "To Save Israel Boycott the Settlements"by Peter Beinart calling for the boycott of Israeli "settlements" because of the "occupation" and "oppression" of "Palestinians" in "the West Bank". "Most settlers aren't bad people" states this condescending textbook PLO propaganda by a man claiming to be affiliated with Jewish orthodoxy. It is a self-defeating manifesto par excellence. KPFK's "Radio Intifada" Interviews Anti-Israel Extremists:

Extremist anti-Israel KPFK Radio (see below) interviewed Professors David Klein of CSUN and Ilan Pappe of Exeter University, both of whom advocate a PLO revisionist view of history. They present a viewpoint in which Israel is entirely responsible for today's conflict while the PLO terrorists have no responsibility. AMCHA has vigorously protested UC's hosting of their widely reviled anti-Israel extremism. 3/14/12

Anti-Israel LA Times Now Charging for Online Access:

The LA Times building in downtown Los Angeles Join the Boycott has been advocating a total boycott of the anti-Israel Los Angeles Times for over 24 years. That includes the LA Times website. The LA Times has just introduced a paywall to its website meaning you will now have to pay a subscription fee of $4.99 every four weeks for online access. This makes the online boycott both easier and more important in the fight against anti-
Israel propaganda. Subscribers to the print edition, please call 1-800-252-9141 to cancel your extremist anti-Israel, pro-"Palestine"LA Times and let us know at jointheboycott@inbox.com - see Honor Roll 3/7/12

KPFK Still Wants Your Money to Spread PLO Propaganda:

click here for more info on the anti-Israel anti-semitic KPFK Radio   The extremist anti-Israel KPFK and its weekly "Radio Intifada" program continues to broadcast a steady stream of PLO propaganda from its studio in North Hollywood, CA. KPFK was exposed by the Jewish Journal in 2009 for its blatant anti-semitism, but this self-described "pacifist" radio station continues to wage war against Israel.
Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are still publicly listed KPFK supporters. JtB urges KPFK patrons to stop donating to this anti-Israel hatemonger. 3/1/12

Israeli Human Rights - Let's Hear it Media!:

Whether it is the Israeli right of self-defense against an explicit threat from a potentially nuclear Iran, or against constant PLO terrorist attacks from Gaza, Judea and Samaria, Lebanon, and elsewhere, or asserting the rights of Israelis in World Courts, or asserting the unassailable right of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel, or any other Israeli Human Right, JtB supports and asserts those rights. Nitzana Darshan Leitner of Shurat Hadin Israel Law Center is an Israeli advocate who understands the need to assert Israeli Human Rights and is bravely pursuing the rights of Israeli victims of terorism around the world. 2/24/12

CSU Hosting Anti-Israel Extremist Ilan Pappe Despite Protests:

The taxpayer funded California State University system is hosting anti-Israel extremist Ilan Pappe at CSUN, CSUF, and Cal Poly, despite widespread protest, claiming they are not using public funds! Pappe wants freedom of speech for himself but is an advocate of the boycott of Israeli academics to deny them freedom of speech. The anti-Israel boycott movement (BDS), which has infiltrated campuses nationally, was recently exposed by one of its own, anti-Israel extremist Norman Finkelstein, in a sensational rebuke of the group as "dishonest" and "a cult" (see video below). JtB urges all donors to CSU to withhold donations until CSU takes its obligation to protect all students including Jewish students seriously. 2/22/12

Occupy Movement Becomes the Latest PLO Hijack Victim:

The Occupy Oakland chapter has adopted the extremist anti-Israel BDS boycott Israel campaign as part of its agenda thus making it the latest PLO hijack victim. This is not surprising given that the Occupy movement has on several occasions been shown to harbor a racist anti-Jewish element in its ranks. This thoroughly discredits the movement and shows it is the 1% not the 99%. 2/4/12

Boycott the LA Times Website Too:

The LA Times' "Illegal" "Jews-only" settlements article (see below) was published online only. It did not appear in the City print edition. The LA Times may be attempting to circumvent JtB's scrutiny of
their anti-Israel propaganda knowing JtB and its followers boycott the LA Times website. They are also desperate to draw readers online because every hit on their website generates advertising revenues to them. see paragraph 13 So please boycott the LA Times website too. LA Times Op-Ed: "Illegal" "Jews-Only" Settlements the Problem:

The LA Times yet again provides an Op-Ed platform for an anti-Israel extremist to expound her racist views that a Jewish presence in Judea in "Jews-only" settlements is "illegal" and the root cause of the problem. The writer, Phyllis Bennis, fails to point out the presence of hundreds of illegal Arabs-only settlements in the sovereign Jewish territory of Judea and Samaria long ago acknowledged by the League of Nations to belong to the Jewish people. Bennis' extreme anti-Israel views are within the bounds of reasonable debate for the LA Times. In truth Arab rejection of any Jewish presence anywhere in Israel is the root cause of the problem.
